  • Latin Name: Pilea x urticaceae Peperomioides
  • Common Name: Chinese Money Plant, Pancake Plant, Clever Broom or the Missionary Plant
  • Characteristics: Pliea indoor plants are bushy evergreen perennials with succulent-like stems, textured leaves and lush pinkish flowers. These houseplants can grow up to 50cm in height with long-stalked leaves at a length of 10cm. No pruning is required as the plants are low maintenance and easy to care for. Look out for vibrant white and pink colours throughout their flourishing season, June - September.
  • Plant Advice: 'Money Plants' will thrive in well-drained chalk or sand soils in a partial shaded, sheltered location. The plants are generally pest free and love high humidity areas. Be sure water these plants at least once a week - keep an eye on how moist the soil is on a daily basis. It is recommended to rotate the plant 2-3 times a week to avoild any slanted stems from the sunlight.
